Dental Marketing in Oregon

Most of the Oregon patients we plan for live in two Willamette Valley metros about two hours apart on I-5. Greater Portland is a bi-state market of more than 2.5 million people, home to the state's only dental school at OHSU. Eugene-Springfield is smaller and flatter in population, shaped by the University of Oregon, PeaceHealth, and Lane County communities from South Eugene to Springfield.

Below is how we approach search, Business Profiles, paid ads, websites and reviews for Oregon practices, with links to our Portland and Eugene programs.

Multnomah County is near 795,000 (down from the 2020 base), Washington County near 612,000, and Clackamas near 426,000. Eugene-Springfield / Lane County is about 382,000, roughly flat. Two Metros

Where Oregon Patients Actually Search

Greater Portland

The capital of Oregon dentistry by volume stretches from Multnomah into Washington and Clackamas Counties and across the Columbia into Clark County, Washington:

  • Pearl District and Northwest Portland: urban core professionals and strong PPO and cosmetic demand
  • Westside: Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego: Intel corridor and fee-for-service suburbs across the river
  • Southeast and Northeast Portland: Hawthorne, Division, Alberta, Irvington family and creative-class bases
  • East Portland and Gresham: higher Oregon Health Plan share and middle-income family volume
  • Vancouver, Washington: Clark County side of the bi-state metro that many Oregon offices also reach

A Westside practice often competes for Intel corridor and Lake Oswego households; an Eastside practice often competes for family PPO and Oregon Health Plan volume. The listing and site should name the side of town you actually serve.

Eugene-Springfield

Lane County's hub is flatter in population than Portland but still has clear neighborhood search maps:

  • South Eugene and the South Hills: premium corridor with physician and UO faculty households
  • Crest Drive and College Hill: historic neighborhoods near the University of Oregon
  • Springfield Gateway and Coburg: northern growth and village premium pockets
  • Thurston and East Springfield: established bedroom corridors with stable family bases
  • Bethel and Whiteaker: west and inner Eugene mid-market and arts corridors

University of Oregon families, PeaceHealth workforce, and long-term Lane County residents search by those corridor names. Naming South Eugene, Springfield or Coburg in your profile and ads helps the right searches land on your practice.

Our Approach

How We Plan an Oregon Program

  1. Step 1

Treat Portland and Eugene as separate maps

Patients rarely drive two hours between the Willamette Valley's two main hubs for routine care. We build Business Profile wording, location pages, and ad geography around the towns near your chairs, from Beaverton and Lake Oswego on the Portland side to South Eugene and Springfield on the south, instead of one statewide label.

  2. Step 2

Name the corridors people actually type

Searchers in Lake Oswego, the Pearl, South Eugene, or Gateway type those names, not Oregon. We pull neighborhood and suburb language from your own new-patient records and mirror it on the site, the listing, and paid search so the first screen of results feels local.

  3. Step 3

    Respect the bi-state Portland map

The Census metro includes Clark County, Washington. Oregon offices near the Columbia often draw Vancouver and Camas patients, and Washington offices often draw East Portland and Gresham. We set Google Ads locations and service wording around the side of the river your chairs sit on, then adjust once call tracking shows where booked patients come from.

  4. Step 4

Be clear on plans people ask about first

Delta Dental of Oregon, Moda, Regence, Kaiser Permanente Dental, and Oregon Health Plan questions show up early in many new-patient journeys. Plain answers on accepted plans, new-patient openings, and how to book help visitors decide on the first visit without a phone tag loop.

  5. Step 5

    Keep reviews coming every week

Google lists prominence, including review count and rating, among the signals behind local results. A short request after each visit and a reply process your front desk can keep up with build a steady record rather than a burst that fades.

Working Together

A Remote Team for Oregon Practices

We have no office in Oregon. Our team is based in Sacramento and San Mateo, California, and works with Oregon practices remotely through video meetings, shared dashboards and email. Our team has been building websites since 2014 and has served more than 100 practices.

Pacific Time matches ours, so strategy calls fit a normal workday. Practices in Salem, Bend, Medford, Corvallis or anywhere else outside our two metro programs get the same process, built around their own town.
